About Me

Hey, team! My name is Kyle Karum and I am a music teacher. I have taught high school for 13 years and, over my career, I've noticed some glaring issues in the way music directors facilitate student-led rehearsals. Honestly, it's not their fault. Many try to implement leadership programs, but adding a meaningful curriculum to their already-full plates is a big ask.

I have been honored to serve as a section leader in 6 different ensembles (3 choral and 3 instrumental) at the high school, college, and semi-professional levels.

I am also a student of leadership. I spent much of my coursework during my Master's degree diving more into the theories and practices that can enhance our lives as section leaders.
